Kate is an experienced primary school teacher, psychology graduate, has undertaken training in Child-Centered Play Therapy, and who has taught yoga to children.
Kate’s background as a primary school teacher informs her practice. She is experienced in tailoring individual learning plans to match the complex needs of children and is passionate about children being understood and related to them in a way that appreciates their uniqueness.
As a clinician, Kate brings her knowledge of nervous system regulation into her work with children. Kate has both lived and professional experience fostering interoception skills to help adults and children find calm. She trusts in every child’s innate ability to problem solve and believes her role is to show unconditional support and encouragement as children grow. Kate has a deep wealth of experience and has worked with a range of children from ages 2 to 12.
Kate believes that developing positive relationships with children and their families is central to her work. She values parents/guardians and is dedicated to developing their trust.
