Play Therapy Melbourne

Fees & Funding

We believe every family deserves access to quality support. We work with a range of funding types and are happy to help you understand your options before you get started.

How families fund their support

Play Therapy Melbourne is a registered NDIS provider. We also work with families accessing Medicare, School Readiness Funding, and private pay. If you are not sure which pathway applies to your family, get in touch and we will help you work it out.

NDIS
We are a registered NDIS provider. Our fees align with the NDIS Pricing Arrangements and Price Limits. Families with NDIS funding can access therapy, assessments, and parent support through their Capacity Building budget.
Medicare
Families with a Mental Health Care Plan from their GP may be eligible for a Medicare rebate for psychology sessions with our registered psychologist. Ask your GP about a referral.

School Readiness Funding
Kindergartens and early childhood services can access our Brain Power Program and educator sessions through School Readiness Funding. Sessions can be delivered online or in person throughout the year.
Private Pay
Families who are self-funded are welcome. Our fees are consistent across NDIS and private pay in line with NDIS fair pricing principles.

DVA and TAC
We welcome referrals from the Department of Veterans Affairs and the Transport Accident Commission. Please get in touch to discuss your specific funding arrangements.

Cancellations and changes

We understand that life with children is unpredictable. If you need to cancel or reschedule an appointment, please let us know as soon as possible. Where we can, we will offer an alternative such as a parent session, resource, or connection with your child’s educator so your support continues without interruption. Short notice cancellations may incur a fee as outlined in your service agreement.

Information for NDIS participants

Play Therapy Melbourne is a registered NDIS provider. Our services are claimed under the Capacity Building budget, typically under Improved Daily Living.

If your child’s plan is agency managed or plan managed, we will invoice directly and you do not need to pay upfront. If you are self-managed, payment terms will be outlined in your service agreement.

We are happy to work with your support coordinator or plan manager. Contact us to discuss your child’s goals and how we can help.

School readiness funding

Play Therapy Melbourne is on the School Readiness Funding menu. Kindergartens and early childhood services can use their School Readiness Funding allocation to access our Brain Power Program and educator professional development sessions, delivered online or in person throughout the year.

If you are a service director or educational leader interested in working with us, visit our Professionals and Organisations page or contact us directly.

You do not need a referral to book an assessment with us. If you are not sure whether an assessment is the right next step, we are happy to have a conversation first.

Not sure what applies to you?

Funding can be confusing. We are happy to talk it through before you commit to anything. Get in touch and one of our team will help you find the right pathway for your family.
