Mal holds qualifications in Social Work, Early Childhood Education, Humanistic Play Therapy and Interplay Therapy.
Mal aims to build authentic relationships with clients, as well as their families, where total acceptance, empathy and care are given to foster healing.
Mal has experience in working with women and children who have experienced family violence, children in out-of-home care, children with a disability or who require additional support, and children and families at risk of or experiencing trauma.
Mal prioritises building relationships where attuned connection can occur enabling a felt sense of safety, allowing individuals to explore their experiences, understand their therapeutic needs and begin to heal. Mal understands that each individual will have their own needs and different ways of expressing themselves and will foster these to create an individualized approach.
Mal’s passion is to ensure children feel safe, connected, cared for, and know that they matter.
